A former elementary school teacher and political consultant, Pat has been running the communication office for DASD since 2004.   As Director of Public Relations, Pat's job is keeping our community updated about our students' success stories and to publicize the great events taking place in our district.  

A graduate of Boston College with a BA degree in Education, Pat also earned her APR (Accreditation in Public Relations) Certification from the Universal Accreditation Board in 2009. Pat has twice been named an Educator 500 by the 3e Institute for initiating innovative school/business programs in the district.  She has earned two NSPRA national publication awards and five PSBA publication awards for the district's activity calendar, newsletter, "Guide to the District" and the STEM parent brochure.  Pat is on the executive board of the Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association. 

Pat is also the district's Development Director, School Board Secretary and serves as the Executive Director of the Downingtown Community Education Foundation - the liaison between the district and foundation.  Pat has earned certificates in Fund-Raising Management from the Fund Raising School Indianna/Perdue University and the Mid-Atlantic Consortium of Education Foundations.

Pat McGlone is the mother of four Downingtown High School graduates.
